Trailing 1-0 in the 8th inning, the Pawtucket Red Sox got a one out single from Brock Holt, scoring Justin Henry and Heiker Meneses to grab a 2-1 lead over the Durham Bulls...a lead that they managed to hold onto for the win and a one-to-nothing lead in the best-of-five series for the International League Governors' Cup championship.

Relief pitcher Anthony Carter managed to stop a Durham threat in the bottom of the 9th inning, as the Bulls loaded the bases with only one out - and the winning run at second base.  But Carter forced Durham's Shelley Duncan to pop out to third, and Brandon Guyer flew out to right field to end the threat, and the game.

Alex Wilson gets the win in relief of starter Anthony Ranaudo for the Pawsox, who pitched through the first six innings allowing just the one run and four hits; Carter picked up the save.  Four Pawsox pitchers held the Bulls to the one run on seven hits, striking out six and walking four.

Game Two of the best-of-five series continues Wednesday night in Durham, NC, with the series shifting to Pawtucket's McCoy Stadium for Game 3 Friday night...with Games 4 and 5 also at McCoy if necessary.
