Patriots Send-Off Rally Set For Monday At Boston City Hall Plaza
Thursday, January 22, 2015
The New England Patriots will be departing for Glendale, Arizona, and Super Bowl XLIX on Monday morning to start their 6th Super Bowl week under Bill Belichick. Before the team departs, however, they will have a send-off rally. The rally is different this time — rather than have the rally at Gillette Stadium, like they have in the past, the Patriots will be welcome into Boston's City Hall Plaza by Boston Mayor Marty Walsh for a huge send-off party.
Walsh will send the AFC Champions off at 11 a.m. "I am thrilled to host our conference champion New England Patriots at City Hall to rally before we send them off to another Super Bowl," Mayor Walsh said. "This is an exciting time for Boston, and I remind all fans to celebrate responsibly and make our City proud."
The crowd in Boston will hear from Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft, President Jonathan Kraft, Head Coach Bill Belichick and team captains Tom Brady, Vince Wilfork, Devin McCourty, Matthew Slater and Dan Connolly before the team loads onto their buses and leaves for the Super Bowl.
