Another big get for Ed Cooley and the PC Friars on the recruiting trail.
Thursday night, 7'-2" center Paschal Chukwu tweeted that he has verbally comitted to Providence College giving Cooley and PC a quality big man and another top recruit.
Chukwu plays at Fairfield College Prep and had narrowed his choices down to PC, St. Joseph's, Texas, UConn Boston College and Notre Dame. Many believed that his hometown Huskies and PC were his top two choices and that he favored Providence.

He is said to have a decent mid-range jumper and a solid post game. He joins fellow ESPN Top 100 commit Jalen Lindsey (Huntington Prep) who will be coming to campus next fall.
Providence lost out on star recruit Kaleb Joseph to Syracuse a couple of weeks ago. Despite that loss, Cooley and his staff are, once again, putting together one of the nation's top recruiting classes leaving Friar fans anxious and excited about the future of the program.
GoLocalProv.com called Cooley but was unable to reach the Friars head coach. Even had contact been made, Cooley cannot talk about a recruit until he receives a signed letter of intent.
