NEW: Slap Shot’s Hanson Brothers Come to RI for Hockey Fundraiser

The Hanson Brothers will be at URI in January to help raise funds for the World War II Foundation. Foil up.

The famous Hanson Brothers of the iconic hockey movie “Slap Shot” are coming to Rhode Island on January 19 to help URI Hockey Alumni battle the Skating Firemen of the famous FDNY, and honor the World War II Generation.

Get ready to put on the foil for this great family event at the Brad Boss Ice Arena at URI. The charity hockey game will be followed by autographs and pictures with the Hanson Brothers. The event will begin at 1pm, with a VIP reception scheduled for noon.

At 4pm, nationally ranked URI will take on Niagara in an action-packed game of college hockey.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids. Ticket price includes the charity hockey game of URI v. Skating Firemen featuring the Hanson Brothers, autographs, photos and admissions to URI vs. Niagara.

The special VIP reception with the Hanson Brothers is $50 per person.

Proceeds will support the 501 c3 World War II Foundation, while also honoring the heroes of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) and the World War II generation.
