PC Basketball’s Junior Lomomba Will Not Return for 5th Year

Providence College basketball senior Junior Lomomba will not return to PC for his 5th and final year of eligibility.
“We want to wish Junior all the best in his future plans. Junior provided so much to the program over the last three seasons. His leadership and work ethic were integral to our team’s success. We appreciate all his contributions to Friar basketball,” said PC Head Coach Ed Cooley.
Lomomba thanked Providence via his twitter account and also said he will be exploring other opportunities.

Lomomba at Providence
In 2015-16, he averaged 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds nd 1.9 assists in 24.4 minutes per game.
Lomomba played 16 minutes in each of PC's two NCAA Tournament games and scored 2 points and pulled down three rebounds combined in the two games.
Lomomba came to Providence after one season at Cleveland State and played 66 career games for the Friars, helping them reach three straight NCAA Tournaments.

The departure of Junior Lomomba means that the Friars now have one scholarship available for incoming players, with Ben Bentil's decision to stay at school or go pro still to come.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Providence had landed junior college transfer Emmitt Holt, a 6'8" who previously played at Indiana.
At the moment, Holt and Maliek White are the only incoming players in the 2016-17 recruiting class.
