The URI Rams (15-13, 8-8 A-10) defeated (22-6, 12-4 A-10) Dayton 75-66 on Saturday afternoon in Ohio. The win comes just two days after the program ended Hassan Martin's season due to a knee injury.

Dayton cut URI's lead to 7, 65-58, with 3:15 to play in the game sending their building in to a frenzy.

URI's next possession was a must score and after breaking an intense press, Jared Terrell found Four McGlynn in the corner for a three and he hit it, giving the Rams their 10 point lead back, 68-58 with 2:46 to play. 

Dayton would get back to as close as 8, 68-60, but that Four McGlynn three was a dagger and possibly a game saver for the Rams. 

URI shot 56% from the field in the game. 

Building a Lead 

URI led 38-25 at the half and build their lead to as much as 19, 65-46 with 6 minutes to play in the game. 

The Rams opened the first half with a 15-5 run, putting them in firm control right from the jump. 

The Leaders 

URI was led by Jared Terrell who poured in 18 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field, while Four McGlynn added 16 points on 4 of 7 shooting from three-point land. 

Andre Berry posted a career high 15 points off the bench for the Rams. 

Next up 

The Rams play their final home game of the season when they host UMass on Thursday, March 3 at the Ryan Center. 

Tip off is set for 7 p.m.

Giving Credit

Have to give URI and Head Coach Dan Hurley credit for their performance. 

Just a day or two after the program decided to end Hassan Martin's season they came out with one of thier best offensive performances of the season and earned their biggest win of the season, a road win over Dayton.

Four McGlynn

Four McGlynn finished with 16 points on 4 of 7 shooting from the field, all threes, and 4 of 4 from the free throw line.

Hot Offense

URI's offense started the game hot and stayed hot the entire way leading them to a win. 

The Rams show 56% from the field and 53% from three-point land.

URI had 5 players reach double figures in scoring, including 4 of the 5 starters and only missed three free throws. 

If URI can get this type of production offensively the rest of the way they will be competitive.

Jared Terrell

Jared Terrell led the Rams with 18 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field and 5 of 6 from the free throw line. 

The sophomore has reached double figures in 11 straight games. 

Terrell also had 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals to help the Rams to the road win.

Andre Berry

Coming into this game, Andre Berry had scored 19 points total all season. 

This was his coming out party and the Rams needed him. 

Berry tallied 15 points on 7 of 7 shooting from the field while also grabbing 3 rebounds.
