NEW: Beisel Picks Up Bronze in 200-Meter Backstroke

North Kingstown’s Elizabeth Beisel won a bronze medal in Friday’s 200-meter backstroke at the Olympics in London.

For the second straight race, the 19-year-old was bested by a world record performance, this time from fellow American Missy Franklin. Beisel finished in 2:06.55.

Russia’s Anastasia Zueva won the silver.

Beisel won a silver medal last Saturday in the 400-meter individual medley
