Coach Eric Aaronian

Moses Brown School has announced that Boys' Varsity Head soccer Coach Eric Aaronian, was named R.I. Private School Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America; and the Division II Coach of the Year by the Rhode Island Soccer Coach Association.

“I am incredibly lucky to be able to coach such wonderful student-athletes. They see the fields as an extension of the classroom and attack practice and games with as much effort and enthusiasm as they put into their schoolwork. It is easy for me to go to practice every day when I know I will be interacting with such great kids," said Aaronian.

This is Aaronian's second time honored by RISCA. Aaronian has been a member of the upper school science faculty since 2006 and is currently serving as the cross-divisional science chair.

Luis Hernandez

Moses Brown senior Luis Hernandez was chosen as one of three Rhode Islanders named as an All-New England Selection. This marks the first time in program history that a Moses Brown student was named as an All-New England player.

“Playing with MB was the best soccer experience I have ever had in my life. The team really becomes your family and it’s nice knowing that everyone has your back after a mistake, and you have theirs. I honestly don’t think I would have been able to accomplish what I accomplished without the rest of the team. I did post a lot of shutouts, and had few goals against, but it was only because our team played great, and I think that all started because of the great friendships and chemistry that we established," said Hernandez.
