Malesevic, Rams Beat Duquesne

Senior Nikola Malesevic scored a team-high 19 points including a pivitol three-pointer in the game's final minutes to help lift URI past Duquesne 67-62 in Pittsburgh.

The Rams closed the game on a 14-5 run in the final four minutes getting the job done on both ends of the floor for the win.

Xavier Munford managed to score 14 points despit going just 3-11 from the field.  However, Munford was a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line.

Jordan Hare and Mike Powell each netted 9 for the Rams who improve to (8-16, 3-8 A-10).  Duquesne falls to (8-17, 1-10).

Rhode Island takes its 2-game winning streak into action Wednesday night at the Ryan Center when the Xavier Muskateers visit Kingston.
