You could see a shift in confidence from our players. It’s a game we might have lost two years ago, but I’m happy with the way the guys gutted it out,” said URI head coach Dan Hurley after the game.
The Rams improve to 6-3 on the season.
URI Grinds Out Win
Trading 60-59 with 2:06 to play in the game, Langevine knocked down a pair of free throws to give the Rams a 61-60 lead.
After blocking a shot on the defensive end, Langevine went back to the free throw line and knocked down two more free throws to put the Rams up 63-60.
Jared Terrell knocked down five straight free throws and Langevine blocked another shot to give the Rams a 68-62 win.
The win comes after the Rams trailed by as much as six, 36-30, in the second half.
