Jarvis Garrett goes 4 of 4 from three-point land

The URI Rams (10-5, 2-0 A10) defeated the (8-6,0-2 A10) Richmond Spiders 77-65 on Tuesday night at he Ryan Center. In the game, URI Shot 70 percent from three-point land.

The Rams trailed 14-10 early in the frist half before a Jared Terrell three-pointer and free throws from Earl Watson sparked a 16-0 Rhody run that would give them the lead for good.

The Rams led 41-32 at the half. 

In the second half, Richmond would get as close as six points, 49-43, before the Rams would ice the game with a 15-4 run over the next seven minutes. URI would open up as much as a 19 point second half lead and cruise to the win. 

The Leaders 

URI was led by Jarvis Garrett and Jared Terrell who each netted 18 points in the game. Garrett was four for four from beyond the three-point arc. 

Hassan Martin returned to the line up for URI and played 27 minutes off the bench, netting 10 points and recording five blocked shots. 

Next up 

URI returns to action on Sunday, January 10 when they travel to Philly to take on Saint Josephs in their first A 10 road game. 

Tip off set set for noon time and will be shown on the NBC Sports Network.

Kuran Iverson

Kuran Iverson came off the bench for the second straight game for the Rams and netted three points on 1 of 4 shooting from the field in 23 minutes of action . 

Iverson also grabbed four rebounds.

Hassan Martin

After missing two and a half games, Hassan Martin returned to the URI line up and came off the bench against Richmond. 

Martin played 27 minutes off the bench and netted 10 points on 4 of 9 shooting from the field.

Martin also grabbed seven rebounds and recorded FIVE blocked shots in the game. 

Martin's return is a major lift for the Rams as conference play rolls on.

Jared Terrell

Jared Terrell co-led the Rams with 18  points on 6 of 12 shooting from the field and 5 of 6 from the free throw line. 

Terrell has reached double figures in scoring in every game this season except for two this season. 

Terrell also grabbed five rebounds in the game.

Jarvis Garrett

Jarvis Garrett co-led the Rams attack with 18 points on 6 of 9 shooting from the field, including 4 of 4 from three-point land. 

Garrett has now reached double figures in two straight games for URI. 

Garrett also dished out 8 assists against Richmond.

HOT Shooting

To say that the URI Rams shot the ball well from three-point land is a massive understatement, they were RED HOT. 

URI shot 12 of 17 from three-point land finishing the game shooting 70% from deep. 

Four McGlynn has been hot over the last couple of games and went 4 of 5 from three, while Jarvis Garret went 4 of 4. 

The Rams average 38% from beyond the arc on the season.
