GoLocalProv’s Player of the Week for Elorza’s Midnight Summer Basketball League
Sunday, July 12, 2015
Each week GoLocalProv selects the top Player of the Week for Mayor Jorge Elorza's Midnight Summer Basketball League.
This first week of the league was dominated by Bennie Stephens of the West End Rec team.
"Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza has once again proved that he really cares about the community of Providence by resurrecting the Providence Midnight Summer Basketball League! This league is rich in history and it is only fitting that the first GoLocalProv Providence Midnight Summer Basketball League is Bennie Stephens. Bennie played first in the original leagues in 1980's and has bridged gap with today's league," states Sean Holley of Providence Midnight Summer League.
