Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark threatened to quit his job at ESPN if the Patriots made a trade for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
“If he goes to the Patriots, I am letting you know now, it is the last day I will work for ESPN because I’m tired of this, I can’t take it no more, and if they get another good player, I’m done,” Clark said on ESPN’s First Take on Thursday.

This report followed acknowledgement from Seahawks general manager John Schnieder that the trade talk surrounding Sherman was real.
It was also reported that Sherman and running back Adrian Peterson have the same agent. The Patriots brought Peterson in for a workout on Monday.
According to a report from CSNNE on Thursday, the Patriots don't have interest in acquiring Sherman, but have already loaded up this offseason.
Patriots Offseason
The biggest move came in March when the Patriots traded for Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks, for their 2017 first (32nd overall) and third round (103 overall) picks. New England also got the Saints fourth round pick (118th overall) in the deal.
Earlier in the same day, the Patriots acquired defensive end Kony Ealy from the Carolina Panthers in exchange for their 2017 second round pick and the Panthers third round pick.
On the first day of free agency, the Patriots signed cornerback Stephon Gilmore to a long term deal.
The Patriots also signed tight end Dwayne Allen to replace Marcellus Bennett, who has since signed with Green Bay, and Gilmore on Thursday.
