CVS Caremark Charity Classic Offers Great Fun For The Family

The CVS Caremark Charity Classic has always about the kids and this year that will be the case even more so.
While childrens charities in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachussetts have directly benefited from the millions of dollars raised over the first 14 years of this event, now more activities are being added to the even to attract people of all ages. Here is the official press release:

In addition to offering three days of world-class golf, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic is packed with a variety of other fun activities designed to keep fans engaged and entertained!
2013 OPENING CEREMONY AND PLAYERS CLINIC
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the CVS Caremark Charity Classic, Dan Hicks - the voice of NBC Golf and Notre Dame football - is serving as the emcee of the opening ceremony and clinic. Fans are in for a real treat as Hicks brings his trademark wit and commentary to Monday’s opening ceremony, making the 15th anniversary even more memorable.
ALL KIDS CAN THREE-HOLE CHALLENGE
This year kids will take to the greens during the All Kids Can Three-Hole Challenge. Designed to offer kids of all abilities a chance to participate in the tournament and experience golf like the pros, this unique challenge will be held on holes 16-18 the morning of Monday, June 24. Five foursomes, each comprised of kids representing a variety of the tournament’s charity partners as well as a member of the Barrington High School golf team, will participate in the fun activity.
FREE KIDS AND FAMILY CLINIC
Professionals from the New England PGA will be at the 2013 CVS Caremark Charity Classic providing one-on-one golf tips for attendees. No need to bring golf clubs, the NEPGA will provide all equipment and range balls as well as expert tips and advice to improve your game. Times for the clinic are:
• Sunday, June 23: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Monday, June 24: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, June 25: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
VETERANS HONORED WITH FREE ADMISSION
Also new for 2013, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic is honoring veterans by offering complimentary admission for all active, reserve and retired Military Service Members and their dependents. Veterans simply present a valid Common Access Card or Retired Military Card at the gate any day throughout the three-day tournament. Police and Fire department employees and their families also receive free admission with a valid ID.
