Cold-Shooting URI Falls At Xavier 84-66
Thursday, February 09, 2012
Scoring the basketball has been a major problem for the Rhody Rams this year. It was a problem again Wednesday night as the Rams fell to Xavier 84-66 in Cincinnati.
The problem for the Rams was their first half performance which saw them shoot just 22% (6 of 27) from the field and 9% (1-11) from three. Those numbers added up to just 17 points in the game’s opening 20 minutes and a 10-point halftime deficit 27-17.
URI fared better from the field in the second half (47%), but it was too little, too late.
