Bryant vs. UConn Game to Air on ESPN 3

Bryant University opens up their basketball season on Friday night in Connecticut against the defending national champion #17/15 UConn Huskies at Gampel Pavilion on their Storrs Campus.

Tip off is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be seen nationally on ESPN3. 

Bryant University will also host defending NEC chamion Mt. Saint Mary's in early February and that game will be on ESPNU.

Guard- Dyami Starks

Dyami Starks returns for his Senior season looking to help the Bulldogs take the next step. Starks returns as the Bulldogs leading scorer from last season averaging 18.9 points per game and shooting 36% from three-point land. 

The 6'2" Starks played in 30 games last season and started in 29 of them, shooting 41 % from the field.

Guard- Joe O'Shea

After starting all 32 games for the Bulldogs last season as a Junior, Joe O'Shea returns for his Senior season as a well rounded player who was in the Bulldogs top five a season ago in just about every category. 

O'Shea averaged nine points and just over four rebounds per game for the Bulldogs and will look to build on that this season.

Guard- Hunter Ware

Coach O'Shea said that 6'2" Freshman Hunter Ware "is going to be one of the better guards to ever play" for Bryant University. 

Ware comes out of Powder Springs, Georgia where he averaged 19.4 points per game and was selected to the Georgia All-Star game.

Forward- Dan Garvin

Sophomore Dan Garvin appeared in 27 games as a freshman last year for the Bulldogs and started six of them. He is a force on the defensive side of the floor, last year posting 36 blocks which led the team and was good enough for eighth best in the conference.

He averaged six points and just under five rebounds per game last season and as one of the most experienced sophomores on the team, he will look to improve on those numbers.

Forward- Angus Riley

Angus Riley is a 6'8" Freshman who has come over from New Zealand to play for the Bulldogs. In 2013 Riley was named captain of the New Zealand under 18 National team that played in the 2013 Australian State Championship. 

In those games, Riley averaged just under 10 points and 10 rebounds per game.

6th Man-Curtis Oakley

Curtis Oakley, a 6'4" Junior, played in 28 games last season for the Bulldogs, all off the bench. Oakley averaged 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds  in just under 12 minutes per game. 

Oakley will look to provide energy off the bench and improve on his numbers this year.
