Brown’s Spieth Named to Academic All-District Team

Brown basketball's Steven Spieth has been named to the College Sports Information Director's of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.
The team recognizes the countries top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

GET THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS HERE -- SIGN UP FOR GOLOCAL FREE DAILY EBLASTSpieth is averaging 11.6 points per game, 15.5 point per game in Ivy League play, 3.6 assists per game and has the second best free throw percentage in the Ivy League. Spieth has started 79 of 80 career games for Brown.
Speith has posted at least 20 points in two of Brown's last four games and has reached double figures in all four of those games.

Brown is currently 7-13 and 2-4 in conference play on the season and are riding a two game winning streak
The Bears return to action on Friday night when they travel to Harvard, tip off is set for 7 p.m.
