Coach Mike Martin’s basketball team posted a 15-13 overall record, earning the seventh most wins in Brown basketball history. None of Brown’s 13 losses this season were by double digits. The Bears’ largest defeat was a nine-point loss (75-66) vs. Rhode Island on January 2. Seven of Brown’s losses were by five points or less, including an overtime loss to NCAA-bound Harvard to close the regular season.

The Bears feature senior guard Sean McGonagill, Brown’s third all-time leading scorer with 1,608 career points. The Ivy League’s second leading scorer with 17.7 points per game, McGonagill is Brown’s all-time leader in career treys (247), career starts (113), and single season treys (91).

Junior forward Rafael Maia led the Ivy League in rebounding for the second straight season with 8.1 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Cedric Kuakumensah, the 2013 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, shattered his own Brown record for blocked shots in a season with 90, two short of the Ivy League record.
