J.R. Hobbie

J.R. Hobbie was in the starting lineup and played 40 minutes and netted five points, three of which came on free throws. 

Hobbie went 1-for-8 from the field and 0-for-7 from three-point land in the game. 

To be fair, there were not a whole lot of other options for head coach Mike Martin but Hobbies 40 minutes were very unproductive. 

Brown as a team shot 20 % from three-point land. Cedric Kuakumensah was the only player to hit from behind the arc, knocking down three shots from deep. 

Brown was 3-of-15 from beyond the arc. 

Kuakumensah in 2nd half

Looking at the stat line, Cedric Kuakumensah was okay in the game, netting 15 points, grabbing six rebounds and blocking four shots. 

However, ten of his 15 points came in the first half and he only grabbed one rebound in the second half. Brown lost the game in over time but the reason the game went to overtime is because they couldn't rebound the ball. 

Harvard had more offensive rebounds (20) then Brown had defensive rebounds (18) in the contest and that led to 18 second chance points for the Crimson. 

Brown could have used more Kuakumensah in the second half, especially on the glass. 

Tavon Blackmon

Tavon Blackmon did his best to carry the Brown offense. Blackmon netted 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field and 11-of-12 from the free throw line. 

However, he will be thinking about the one free throw he missed for awhile as it would have given Brown a three point lead with eight seconds left as opposed to a two point lead. That one free throw may have been the difference. 

With that said, Blackmon has now reached double figures in four straight and six of the last seven games for the Bears. 

Blackmon also dished out a season high nine assists, missing a double-double by just one assist. 

OT scoring woes

In the overtime period, Brown had trouble scoring, in fact if it wasn't for the free throw line, Brown may not have scored at all in the period. 

Tavon Blackmon knocked down all six of his free throws in the OT period to keep Brown in it as much as possible but other then that, the Bears missed five layups and a three-pointer. 

Brown didn't get their first field goal until Blackmon converted on a layup with 20 seconds left in the game. The Bears got their second field goal of the period on a Steven Spieth layup with two seconds left. 

Scoring droughts have been a problem for Brown throughout the season but it is really showing up in conference play and made even worse without Leland King. 

Finish the possession

Tavon Blackmon made one of two free throws with eight seconds left to give Brown a 64-62 lead with eight seconds left in the game. However, they could not get a stop on the defensive end. Harvard's Wesley Saunders missed a jump shot, got his own rebound and put it back in with one second left to send the game into overtime.

Brown got the stop that the needed but they did not finish the possession by grabbing the rebound. To make it worse, Brown let the shooter (Saunders) get his own rebound and put it back in. 

Have to finish the possession on the defensive end.
