Brown Basketball To Be Televised

Brown Director of Athletics Jack Hayes announced that Brown Athletics has partnered with MyRITV for a series of Friday night men’s basketball games at the Pizzitola Sports Center featuring coach Mike Martin’s Brown men’s basketball team.

“We are excited to bring Brown basketball to the Rhode Island television market and to continue our outstanding relationship with MyRITV,” said Hayes. “The network is on its way to becoming a major force in the local collegiate and professional sports market.”

Brown tips-off the three televised games this Friday evening, February 15, at 7 pm against Columbia. MyRITV will also televise the Bears’ Friday night home games against Harvard on February 22, and against Penn on March 8.

Broadcast in High Definition, WPRI-TV Eyewitness Sports Director Eric Murphy will call the play, and former Brown standout Russ Tyler ‘71 will provide the color commentary.

MyRITV, a digital subchannel of WNAC (Fox 64), has televised New England Patriots pre-season games for the last two years as well as Brown Football and Basketball games.
