Picture this. You're sitting down with your buddies, reminiscing about the glory days when you dominated the high school hardwood. You're fighting over who was the best player on your team when you start to wonder what happened to that old guy who lit up the gymnasium in 1965. You think he was the best ever from your hometown, but your friends argue it was the star running back from the '80s, or the outfielder who broke into the minors in 1995.
The Debate is Over
Well, the debate is over. GoLocalProv scoured through the history books and came up with the definitive list of the greatest athletes from every municipality in Rhode Island. So sit back, and get ready to gloat. This week town-by-town we unveil the best from across Rhode Island.
These athletes range from high school stars to the NCAA and beyond - the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB.
