5 Things to Know About Jacoby Brissett
Tuesday, September 20, 2016
With Jimmy Garoppolo’s status uncertain, it appears likely that rookie, Jacoby Brissett, will get his first NFL start when the Patriots host the Houston Texans on Thursday night.
“Look, he's been working for this for a long time, all the way back into the spring, all the way through training camp. He's gotten a lot of reps,” said Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick, following the game against Miami.
Brissett was the Patriots third round pick out of North Carolina State in the 2016 NFL Draft and would be the first rookie to start a game for the Patriots since Drew Bledsoe did in 1993.
