#24 Salve Regina Upset By MIT

Saturday, October 20, 2012

MIT's Justin Walace scored on a 5-yard run with just :35 seconds left to lift the Engineers to a 20-19 upset win over previously undefeated Salve Regina 20-19 Saturday in Cambridge.

Up 13-7 with just over 5 minutes to play, the Seahawks saw MIT take the lead with 5:05 to play on a TD pass from Pete Williams to Samuel Inman.  However, the Seahawks would answer.

Senior RB Connor Kelly finished off a scoring drive with a 2-yard run to put Salve up 19-14.  The Seahawks' 2-point conversion failed.

MIT's Brad Goldsberry returned the ensuing kickoff 61-yards which allowed the Engineers to score the game-winning TD and give Salve Regina (7-1) its first loss of the season.
