The #24 Providence College Friars (21-10, 11-7 Big East) fell 68-64 to the (22-9,12-7 Big East) #21 Butler Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The loss combined with the Georgetown win over Seton Hall means Providence will either end up as a four or five seed and play St. John's in the first round of the Big East tournament.

"We didn't have any pop for 27 minutes for whatever reason, I thought for 13 minutes we played really well, but then your trying to play perfect basketball and every mistake is accentuated," Friars head coach Ed Cooley said after the game.
