Jack Hayes
The other candidate is Buffalo University's Associate AD Anucha Browne Sanders. She is in her third year at Buffalo, but she may be best known for her lawsuits against the New York Knicks, then-General Manager Isiah Thomas, MSG, and Cablevision owner James Dolan for sexual harassment. After a jury award and appeals, it was ultimately disclosed that Sanders settled for more than $11-million.

Gavitt Out
Surprisingly, one top-level rumored candidate is Dan Gavitt, the AD at Bryant University. Gavitt, the son of icon David Gavitt, was an early favorite for the position.
Hayes is a native of Providence, Rhode Island and graduated from the Providence Country Day School where he lettered in football, basketball and lacrosse. He was inducted, as a member of his high school basketball team, into the Providence Country Day Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2004. In October 2010 Hayes became a two-time member of Providence Country Day's Athletic Hall of Fame when he was inducted along with the rest of his high school lacrosse team.

King Lurking
One dark horse candidate that may be looming is Steve King. The former Brown hockey great is presently senior vice president for University advancement, the top fundraising job at Brown.

I don't have a dog in this fight and am neutral, but I can only imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the righties if she gets it (including at least one GoLocal columnist who is a former Brown athlete). She won't get it - who wants to deal with rhe righty PC police?
