I don't think it's the laborers that need to be cut. The same amount of buildings need to be cleaned, all the streets will still be there and emergency services will continue to be needed.

It's the administrations.

He brings up a valid point about the municipal leaders. Which little Nepoleons will be giving up their power in the regionalization?

Grace Diaz-public service?LOL.She had 5 kids and uses the GA health care plan, but she's the only GA member who pays nothing-nada,ni un cinco-towards her premiums.
She had a home day care setup and then tried to push through a bill to organize day care providers and make them virtual state employees.
Thankfully,it was vetoed by Carcieri and there was no override.
She was the figurehead and the SEIU were the motivating force.

Mr. Allen,

I am repeating my self but Doherty had absolutely NOTHING to do with any of the cases you have cited.

Pinga – Alves! The RISP did nothing despite it being a blatant attempt to “steal the election! In fact, Pinga ended up spending over $28,000 in legal fees to "win" the election a total of FIVE times. If the RISP would have stepped in it would have been over in a matter of days.

The Montalbano decision was the result of a complaint filed by Bob Arruda of Operation Clean Government.

Celona and Martineau were FEDERAL investigations.

Once again, the RISP Financial Crimes Unit under Doherty did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Have you been studying Ciccilline’s playbook, i.e. just keep repeating the lies and hope that someone believes you?

Move on? Give me a break. Where are you getting your information? Do a little research....

And I will continue to hammer you and your misinformation as long as you keep posting it..

No No No Tracey, Blackstone is there by the grace of God for the benefit of all children. It is self sufficient, it requires no funding from the state, it glows and basks in the humanity of pure knowledge. I would suggest you find out how things really run. Check with the HR person about how "teachers" really don't need a certificate from the state. Believe that all children can walk through the front door just like a public school. Believe all you want...

I recognize your name from Planned Parenthood years ago.I remember some nutjob used to follow and harrass you to the point where you needed a restraining order. Now THAT was extreme.
I have just stated my opinion of Ms.Ajello based on her actions and statements, not just in the GA,but on the ACLU public access show.
I have met Rep.Handy on one occasion and his explanation of opposing Jessica's law was ridiculous.
I haven't followed, threatened,or otherwise interfered with Ms.Ajello, but when she takes a radical position, she better expect some strong commentary. The 1st Amendment is for EVERYONE Barbara.
And in this case I am addressing a legislator's actions-the REAL need for the amendment.

Fabiano Frank Reasoner...you need to read as much you write and listen as much as you talk.

Last time - if you dont get it, maybe you were not meant to:

Martineau
Celona
Montalbano
Alves-Pinga election

Read it, digest it, move on. Your one track tirades are getting dull.

You've mistaken me for someone else. Sorry to hear of your troubles, but please take your falsehoods and agendas elsewhere, unless you'd like to speak to my attorney.

I've got no problem with criticism, and never have - it's what I do for a living, how about you? - as long as it's fair and warranted. This isn't the place for your kind of "comments." Your attacks have been vitriolic, unfair and downright misinformed. In other words, wrong. Take it elsewhere. I'm reachable.

She will bring alot of energy to that team. No knock on Phil but he was very laidback.
Her overall record at St. Francis was 74-82 but were 6-23 in her first year after the school went 11-57 in the previous two years. The record kept improving over the next three years but they did have a down year this past year and did not go to a post-season.
To the best of my knowledge, none of the current players have left the school which happens when there is a coaching change and the players recruited by Phil will honor their committment and come to Providence

Schools are suppose to prepare our children for The Real World. Unfortunately many of our public schools do not do this. They don't challenge the student. Which BVP does.

From: Side of the Rhode: Who’s Hot and Who’s Not in RI Politics?

in Politics

I agree with Michael Napalitano's comment about Joshua Miller and his National Greed Bill...Miller should definitely be in the NOT HOT category. The Gen Assembly should not be in the business of being a charity and mandating the people to donate...
This is against my basic freedoms and rights and yours --that I have to be forced to donate to anyone is wrong. This is enforced socialism and against our rights...This law needs to be rescinded.
However I believe Senator Dawson Hodgson should be on the Who"s HOT LIST with his term limit proposal.
On Wednesday's agenda at the state house there was legislation introduced by Sen. Dawson Tucker Hodgson, which would let voters determine whether new term limits should be instituted for RI Congress members.
Sen. Hodgson’s bill would limit Senators to two consecutive four-year terms. Likewise, Sen. Hodgson would like to limit Reps to four consecutive two-year terms..
This is what it should be...no more power holds...no more serving 32 years! You serve your 8 years, if you are lucky to get voted in all that time, and then you get out and make room for fresh faces and ideas...If you cannot get your ideas passed in 8 years, you don't deserve to serve your constituents anymore. You are there for the voters not for your own private agenda..

From: Rhode Island’s Best Calamari

in Food

Two that I think you missed are Spain and Flemings. First the Flemings is a little different than the usual delicious "RI Style" calamari. It comes with a sweet chili sauce on it as well as some hot peppers. The sauce brings a nice little kick but is sweet as well and is just delicious. As for Spain, they have probably the best calamari I have ever tasted. Calamari is a very difficult thing to cook perfectly and Spain absolutely nails it. The outside of the ring is cooked with a great crisp and the inside just absolutely melts in your mouth. It is served with an array of sweet and spicy peppers and is unreal. I try calamari every where I go out to eat and sometimes it it chewy or not crunchy enough but Spain has both of these on point and is just great.
