Jeffrey A. Butler has been named 2012 Realtor of the Year by the RI Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors (RICABOR). "This prestigious award is based on Butler's outstanding contributions and his leadership in the real estate industry," the organization said in making the award.
"I'm proud to receive this award and could not have done it without the support and dedication of the great staff and board members of the RI Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors," Butler said.

Butler is from Coventry and is a broker and owner of Butler Realty Group, located in Warwick. He serves as Treasurer of RICABOR, where he has been a member since its inception in 1985. He is also Treasurer of the RI Statewide MLS, a member service organization of over 4,000 real estate licensees, where Butler has been a Board member since 2008 and MLS Member since 1977. Butler serves on the Commercial Information Exchange (CIE) Task Force at MLS and has been instrumental in researching and negotiating a proposed platform that will enhance commercial listing and sales data in the RI and southern New England market area.

He has been member of the Central RI Chamber of Commerce since the 1980's and is currently serving on the Board of Directors, and on the "Restoring the Victorial Lady" Building Committee. He is a member of the Johnson's Pond Civic Association, and the International Executives Association, RI Chapter (RI Execs) where he has served on its Board of Directors, and held the position of President.
