Anne Nolan, President of Crossroads Rhode Island, delivered sobering statistics on women, families, and homelessness this afternoon. "We are seeing the pace of homelessness for women and families in Rhode Island growing at an alarming rate," she said. "In a ten year period, the total number of unaccompanied men [in shelters] rose by 5% while the total number of unaccompanied women rose by 65%."
