The below slides show what percentage of voters opted for the master lever—also known as straight-ticket party voting—in the 2012 election. The data, which was obtained from the state Board of Elections, shows the breakdown by each of the city council wards. Each slide displays the ward, associated neighborhoods, number of registered voters at the time of voting, number of ballots cast, and the percentage that were master lever ballots. Voters who registered the same day as the election and were eligible to vote only for President are not included. Neighborhood descriptions were obtained from the official city council Web site. Wards are listed in order of least to greatest percentages of master lever votes.
