After retiring from tv, I secured a position in a U.S. Government top secret research and development lab as the senior technician. I volunteered as a First Aid Instructor, National Ski Patrolman, and driver for a veterans organization.
On the Issues
How can you create jobs in Rhode Island? By forming a coalition of top CEOs and business leaders in RI to explore ways to create and also bring jobs to RI.
Social Security/Medicare: Social Security will collect only enough revenue by 2033 to pay 75% of benefits. 53% of seniors say they would rather pay more SS taxes and approve raising the retirement age rather than cut monthly benefits.
We could start with that. We could also set up SS financing, so that future benefits are not dependent on future borrowing or future taxes other than SS taxes.---- The Romney Ryan plan would allow seniors to keep their plans if they want to, or shop around for a better one if they can find one .
Affordable Care Act: Obamacare has to go. It is one of the most destructive pieces of legislation ever introduced. Healthcare costs will be anything but affordable, as this administration has not been truthful in any way about all the hidden clauses it contains.
Abortion: Abortion is murder, plain and simple. Growth begins at conception, and anything that is growing has life, and since that life is inside a human being, it is human life. The abortion proponents call the child a fetus to dehumanize it so they can decriminalize the act of abortion . It is not a fetus, it's a baby, a human being in progress. Any act committed upon a human being that ends their life is murder. Two courts charged murderers of two pregnant women with two counts of murder, and the verdicts were murder on both accounts. These verdicts were appealed, and both high courts agreed. I guess you can figure out, I am pro life.
Education: Excellent education is a must, if we want to keep America strong, and maintain our role as leaders in the world community. The future leaders of America are in school right now, and the quality of education they receive right now will determine their destiny and ours for the rest of their lives. Our colleges have been complaining for some time that students applying for admission barely meet the requirement if at all to gain admission. We cannot just keep on hiring teachers because they belong to a union. The union is not administering exams to see if they qualify. It is up to us to test all these people to see if they indeed deserve the honored title of teacher. We need to supply the schools with everything they need to turn out successful students.
Same Sex Marriage: I do not support same sex marriage.
Afghanistan: We should have learned a lesson from Russia's 10 years in Afghanistan. We need to be out of there.
Energy & the Environment: We can solve our energy problem by approving the keystone pipeline, issuing drilling permits to responsible American oil companies that can prove they have an emergency plan in place, to handle any problems that might arise. We don't want to live through that BP thing again. We can tap our one trillion, two hundred billion barrels of oil in the ground here in America, plus the hundreds of millions of cubic feet of natural gas and unlimited supply of clean coal energy. We also need to build more refineries right here in America. This would not only reduce our dependency on foreign oil, but would also create tens of thousands of jobs, and stimulate the economy, without costing taxpayers one thin dime. The cost at the pump would drop dramatically, and so would the cost of home heating oil. This would give Americans more disposable income, which would further stimulate the economy.
We are all responsible for our environment, and should protect it as fiercely as our own lives, if they were in jeopardy. However, we must be vigilant in accepting so called experts advice, opinions, and forecasts of doom and gloom for the future. Statistics can easily be altered by unscrupulous people for their own personal gain, as we have seen in the past. While setting goals for clean air and water is a must for our future preservation, we must not go off the deep end by setting goals that are, unobtainable, stifle the growth of business, and are a detriment to the growth of our economy. We need realistic goals that are obtainable, based on solid scientific evidence.
Illegal Immigration: We need to close the borders, eliminate safe cities, fine companies severely that are hiring illegal aliens, and also the people that are giving them refuge.
DREAM Act: I do not support the dream act.
Do you support right-to-work? Yes
Quick Hitters
How can you defeat Jim Langevn in the general election?
By doing all the things he should have done, but failed to do. I will listen to the people, not hide from them until it is time to be elected again.
Who is your favorite member of the opposite party?
I do not have one. They have all joined together in their effort to deceive the American people. That is why my campaign slogan is TRUTH- HONESTY-FIDELITY-INTEGRITY. These are words that make tyrants tremble. They will know that I am there and watching for anyone trying to bypass Americas' Constitution.
In one paragraph, why should voters support Donald Robbio?
I'm going to Washington to represent the people of RI., to protect and defend our Constitution, and make sure they stop ignoring that it even exists. I will introduce legislation that eliminates the Presidents' executive order privilege rights, to stop future Presidents from running our country like a dictator, as Obama has been doing since he was elected. I will also have the people of my district tell me how to vote for pending legislation and will keep them informed with a weekly radio and tv address to them.
