Top 10 of 2010: Frank Caprio & John DePetro
Monday, December 27, 2010
It was the "Shove it" heard - literally - 'round the world. When canny WPRO-AM radio talk show host John DePetro teed-up hornet-mad (and endorsement-spurned) gubernatorial candidate Frank Caprio on air, the now-famous comment made headlines internationally. (It didn't hurt that Caprio said it, yes, three times.)
The Caprio/DePetro moment dominated local, national, and even international news, set off national dialogue about the relevance of President Barack Obama's role in mid-term primaries, and reshuffled alliances (and votes) in the crucial final weeks of the Governor's race.
