The Scoop: Superman Building Spokesman Talking for Pell

Tuesday, November 19, 2013

Bill Fischer, the Democratic operative who has represented the owners of the Superman Building, Landmark Hospital, Beacon Insurance and ran the failed Governor's campaign of Sheldon Whitehouse is now serving as spokesperson to the unofficial campaign to Clay Pell.

As GoLocalProv was first to report in mid-October, Pell is eyeing a run for Governor in 2014.

RINPR first reported yesterday, Pell has now officially set up an exploratory campaign. Fischer has been serving as the spokesperson.

Efforts to reach Fischer relative to his salary and his role in the Pell campaign and how it aligns in conjunction with his efforts on behalf of lining up $75 million in public financing for the Superman building went unanswered.

Fischer has also been a paid lobbyist in Rhode Island for a range of clients. Efforts to reach Pell regarding Fischer's role as a lobbyist and how it relates to Pell's campaign also went unanswered.
