The Rhode Island Tea Party protested U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to the Ocean State yesterday evening as she attended a $1,000-a-plate fundraiser in Jamestown.
“Let’s Give Ms. Pelosi a warm welcome back to Rhode Island,” the Tea Party said in a press release distributed by the state GOP. “Give her the welcome she deserves! Show your support for our Freedoms!”
A spokesman for Pelosi declined to comment on the protest.
