Romney Endorses Robitaille for Governor
Monday, September 20, 2010
Former Massachusetts governor and 2008 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney has endorsed John Robitaille for governor, according to his campaign.
“I am pleased to announce my endorsement of John Robitaille for Governor,” Romney said in a statement. “John is a true fiscal conservative who will fight hard to get Rhode Island back on track. As a former Army paratrooper and small-businessman, he has the experience and determination necessary to battle the career politicians who have bankrupted Rhode Island and mortgaged her future.”
“This race is about fighting for a better future in Rhode Island. No candidate is better equipped to fight this battle than John Robitaille, and I am asking conservatives around the country to join in my support of his candidacy,” Romney added.
