State GOP Chairman Mark Zaccaria delivered blistering criticism of the Secretary of State’s office in response to published reports that the wrong ballots had been delivered to some communities earlier in the day and that ballot machines were malfunctioning in some precincts.
“The optics of it are just terrible,” Zaccaria told GoLocalProv.
He said Secretary of State Ralph Mollis, a Democrat, should have had plenty of time between the September primary and the election today to test voting machines and iron out any bugs. The “nicest” way to characterize the issues at the polls today is “gross ineptitude,” Zaccaria said.

“Is that what we want from people who serve as state employees?” he concluded.
