The former campaign manager for Republican Congressional candidate Brendan Doherty is heading to Washington after all.

Ian Prior, a 35-year-old lawyer who took over the Doherty campaign last spring, has accepted a position as the Western Regional Communications Director for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Doherty lost his bid for Congress to incumbent Democrat David Cicilline.
