The Rhode Island Democratic Party is criticizing presidential candidate Mitt Romney for his position on the debt ceiling in advance of his scheduled stop at a Newport fundraiser later today.
“Mitt Romney is coming to Rhode Island today to fill his campaign coffers, but while he’s here, he should explain to Rhode Island voters why he supports the Republican ‘Cut, Cap, and Balance’ plan that would end Medicare as we know it and double out-of-pocket cost to future beneficiaries, while protecting tax cut for Big Oil and the super wealthy,” said state Democratic chairman Ed Pacheco.
