It’s Debate Week - 630 WPRO Features a Key Race Every Day

Today, debate week kicks off at 630 WPRO, a GoLocalProv media partner. With one exception, all of the major candidates for statewide and federal office will be meeting for the debates. WPRO News Director Bill Haberman will be moderating and the panel of questioners will include former Attorney General Arlene Violet and The Hummel Report's Jim Hummel. The debates will also air on 99.7 FM.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, October 18, 5-6 p.m. - Candidates for Governor: Democrat Frank Caprio, Moderate Ken Block and Republican John Robitaille. (Independent candidate Lincoln Chafee declined the invitation.)
Tuesday, October 19, 5-6 p.m. - Candidates for Secretary of State: Democrat A. Ralph Mollis and Republican Catherine Taylor.
Wednesday, October 20, 9-10 a.m. - Candidates for First Congressional District: Democrat David Cicilline and Republican John Loughlin.
Wednesday, October 20, 5-6 p.m. - Candidates for Second Congressional District: Democrat James Langevin and Republican Mark Zaccaria.
Thursday, October 21, 5-6 p.m. - Candidates for Lt. Governor: Democrat Elizabeth Roberts, independent Robert Healey, and independent Bob Venturini.
Friday, October 22, 5-6 p.m. - Candidates for Attorney General: Republican Erik Wallin, Democrat Peter Kilmartin, Moderate Chris Little, independent Kevin McKenna, and independent Rob Rainville
The debates will also be broadcast online at www.630wpro.com.
