Thursday, September 02, 2010
Five candidates for governor shared their views on the biggest issues facing health care in the state in a forum hosted at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick yesterday by the Rhode Island Public Health Association.
The two candidates not featured in the video shared their take on the biggest health care issues in interviews with GoLocalProv.
“The most important health care issue will be complying and implementing the new federal health care exchange program,” said Republican Victor Moffitt. “I would like to see more competition by health care providers to reduce costs and make health care more affordable for all Rhode Islanders.”
“Senator Chafee has an overriding commitment to prepare Rhode Island for the onset of health care reform...in particular to expand access to health care for all Rhode Islanders,” said J.R. Pagliarini, campaign manager for Chafee.
