GoLocalProv Calls Cicilline the Winner

Tuesday, November 06, 2012

Congressman David Cicilline has held on to his seat with a victory over Republican Brendan Doherty.

Doherty, who held a double-digit lead over Cicilline in the polls earlier this year, fell behind early this month when a WPRI placed him down by approximately six points. In the final poll before the election, the race was within one point.

This is exactly why Rogues Island is looked down upon by the rest of the country. The utter stupidity of the voters who put this criminal back into office. Have you read about the school fire inspections that were delayed for years in order to save money? Have you read about the crime statistics and the fact that the former mayor manipulated the statistics to make it look like Providence was safe? How about "the city is in excellent financial shape" when it really was suffering over 100 million dollar deficit? I blame the voters who are obviously ignorant to the fact that this man is a sham.
