Chafee Makes His Pitch to Inner City Youth
Saturday, July 17, 2010
Independent candidate for governor Lincoln Chafee spoke to a group of inner city students yesterday about the value of public service. Chafee drew from his own experience - from mayor of Warwick to U.S. Senator to now a candidate for governor - to discuss public service and he also answered questions about the current issues facing the state.
Chafee spoke at the Providence offices of Year Up, an organization which provides a one-year workforce training program for low-income, urban adults aged 18 to 24.
