Caprio Snags Two Union Endorsements

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Frank Caprio has secured his first labor union endorsements, according to his campaign.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 2323, and IBEW Local 99 have voted to endorse Caprio.
“Almost 45% of our Local is unemployed right now and their families are hurting,” said Al Durand, the business manager for Local 99. “We need Frank’s leadership and his ideas, and I know our local is ready to rally behind him.”

“I’m grateful to have the support of Local 99 and Local 2323 and I look forward to working closely with their members throughout this race,” Caprio said. “We’re going to create jobs, help small businesses grow and get rid of the old playbook that isn’t working for Rhode Island.”
