Thursday, November 18, 2010
Frank Caprio is preparing to enter the private sector, following his unsuccessful bid for governor against Lincoln Chafee.
Caprio told GoLocalProv that he had been approached by regional and national firms about going to work for them—he declined to elaborate beyond that, except to say that he would maintain his residence in the Ocean State.
The outgoing General Treasurer also declined to discuss if he is considering a run for office in the future.

Caprio spoke with GoLocalProv after his last meeting with the State Investment Commission at the Statehouse yesterday. “It’s gone by very quickly,” Caprio said at the end of the meeting. “I know our paths will cross again in the future. … It’s been an honor to serve with you.”
