Caprio: Did not plan ‘shove it’ blast
Tuesday, October 26, 2010
Frank Caprio claimed this morning that his crack that President Obama could “take his endorsement and really shove it” was not pre-planned, during an interview on the Dan York show on 630 WPRO, a GoLocalProv media partner. Instead, he described his comments as a “very human reaction” to finding out second-hand late Sunday night that President Obama was announcing he would not endorse him in his run for governor.
Caprio also repeated his criticism of Obama, for not even flying over Rhode Island during severe flooding last spring. He said President Clinton—who has endorsed him—would have handled the situation differently. “He would have been here in Rhode Island,” Caprio said. “He probably would have camped out here for a few weeks.”
Caprio also defended his remarks in an interview on the Today Show. Click here for more from 630 WPRO.
