This week's Patriarca Papers from the files of the FBI raises questions about whether the head of organized crime was tied to drug importation through the Port of Fall River.
According to informants, Patriarca had leverage over one State Representative who owed $25,000 in gambling debts. The FBI looks at whether the owners of Tourtellot Company at the old Fruit and Produce Market owed Patriarca $50,000.
The majority of this weeks files looks at whether Patriarca' organization controlled the port in Fall River and used the facility to block unionization and for the importation of drugs.
