Former U.S. Attorney for RI, Peter Neronha

Former U.S. Attorney for the District of Rhode Island Peter Neronha spoke with GoLocal's Kate Nagle on Tuesday, following the terrorist attack in Manchester that claimed 22 lives and injured dozens of others. 

"A lot of sympathy for those victims - unfortunately this is replicating itself around the world," said Nerohna. "I think former FBI Director Jim Comey put it well, when he said, 'We're not looking for a needle in the haystack, we're looking for which pieces of hay are going to turn into needles.' That's how hard this is "

Neronha said law enforcement cannot not rule out any tips.

"You've got to run them all to ground..you never know what pieces of hay will turn to needles," said Neronha. "If you see something say something, it's the public that will notice something that is maybe remiss. It's part of the world we live in today, We have to accept a certain amount of risk in our lives and more forward.

Nerhona also spoke to Trump's immigration policies. 

"I'm a big believer at looking at immigrants as individuals - not have a broad brush," said Neronha. "When we paint with a broad brush, it's counter productive."
