United Way’s Young Leaders’ Feature Who’s Hot Dan Lawlor

United Way's Young Leaders Circle has announced their 2013-2014 Learn with Leaders Series -- and kicking-off the season opener, Are You Hot or Not?, on October 3 will be GoLocalProv.com contributor Dan Lawlor.
About the Series
Embracing United Way of Rhode Island's campaign theme "Change can't happen without you", YLC will highlight influential Rhode Islanders who have inspired change in the community and encourage others to be part of a change.
The goal of YLC, who has over 840 members from all over Rhode Island, is to "engage RI young professionals in the work of United Way and develop the next generation of philanthropists."

Kick-Off on October 3
The Learn with Leaders Series will start off with guest speaker Lawlor, who every week combs through local and state news to create his column, “Who’s hot and Who’s not.” How does Dan decide among the many (in)famous people, organizations and trends? Join YLC to hear from Dan and how his column impacts the Rhode Island scene.
Joining Dan will be Josh Fenton, co-founder and CEO of GoLocalProv.com. Josh will share how GoLocalProv.com has altered the media landscape in the state and beyond.
The event, which will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at Rick's Roadhouse in Providence, is free; the YLC is encouraging early registration (go here to sign up for the event).
Light hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and plenty of on-street parking available. The remaining line-up for the 2013-2014 series will be announced at the kick off.
