Two Dead Following Single-Car Crash on Route 146 in North Smithfield

Two people are dead and another is seriously injured following a single-car crash on Route 146 North at about 2:10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Karissa Harrison, 24, 27 Spring St. in Johnston, and Henry Feliz, 30, of 1 Glasgow St. in Providence, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third occupant was transported by North Smithfield Rescue to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. His name has not been released.

According to Rhode Island State Police Captain Matthew Moynihan. the car was headed north on Route 146 when it went off the road and into the grassy median, striking a guard rail and rolling over multiple times.
Al three occupants were ejected from the car.
Captain Moynihan said it is unclear who was driving at the time of the crash.
Speed appears to be a factor. None of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by troopers from the Rhode Island State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit and Scituate Barracks.
