TOP HIGH SCHOOL UPDATE - Newsweek’s 100 Top High Schools in America

Last month, GoLocalProv ranked Rhode Island's top high schools - a comprehensive ranking based on a range of measures including per pupil spending, teacher-student ratios, and test scores. This week, Newsweek Magazine issued their national report on the top 100 high schools in America. Rhode Island scored ZERO on the Newsweek list. Some Rhode Island high schools were noted throughout the report in individual areas. Classical High School in Providence made the overall national Newsweek list last year (#6 on GoLocalProv's list of Top High Schools in RI).

Previous Rhode Island Schools to make the list have been Classical (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006) and East Greenwich (2007, 2006).
