State Teacher Union Backs ‘Race to the Top’

The state teacher union has endorsed Rhode Island’s application for as much as $75 million in federal Race to the Top funds, according to 630 WPRO, a GoLocalProv media partner. During the first round of applications only the unions in Providence and Foster signed on, while the state union refused.
